Little Corner Construction and Foundations

Little Corner Construction replaced all the windows in our house (more than 30 windows), expanded the size of one of our windows, replaced the back door and surrounding windows and transoms, repaired wood rot around our house, replaced 25% of our siding, and painted our house. It was a tremendous project and it took a few months, but it was worth it and our 32-year-old house looks brand new!

I worked primarily with Vivian, who was very professional and made sure we had everything we needed for the project. Miguel was the on-site project lead, and the quality and attention to detail of his work was unparalleled. The team came out to our house on a couple of occasions before the project started to take thorough measurements and discuss any additional work we needed done. Vivian was super knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to, and at no point did we ever feel bullied or belittled (which is rare for construction companies).

The pricing of the project was in line with (and slightly less than) other estimates. And Vivian always returned my phone calls and emails, unlike our experience with some other construction companies.

From our perspective, the only notable areas of improvement for Little Corner were time estimates and communication regarding work days. We started the project at the beginning of October and were told everything would be complete by Halloween. When that passed, it was a stretch to get the windows and doors complete by Thanksgiving. The entire project (including siding, painting, etc.) was done shortly after Christmas, and then there were a few minor items that stretched out a couple of months after that. Given, we added on a few items to our original project scope, but the project would still have taken 6-8 weeks longer than originally estimated, even without a lot of rain or other weather delays. If the estimate had been 2-3 months from the beginning, it would not have been a problem for us. The other area of improvement was work days: it would have been great to have an update at the beginning of each week regarding which days the guys would be working on the house. We were usually notified in the mornings after the work day began that the team would not be showing up that day, either due to weather or other scheduling issues. It wasn't a huge deal, but there were a few occasions that we had to rearrange our day last minute when the team couldn't show up.

With that being said, we would definitely work with Little Corner again in a heartbeat. When the project was complete (and even after we had paid our final invoice), Vivian was great at following up and making sure that every little thing on our checklist was complete. I've never worked with a construction company that was as easy to work with, as detailed oriented, and of as high of quality as Little Corner. They were very respectful of our property, did great work all around, and they did not call out any unnecessary items that needed repairs. Thanks for everything!

I have had an absolutely stellar experience with Little Corner Construction. So far, I have had them widen a driveway and do some much-needed foundation work. I have been so pleased with their work, that I plan on doing a re-siding project with them this summer as well!

Vivian is amazing to work with. She is great at communicating with you the way you want to communicate. I am an email person, and she is great with getting emails back to me, but I have also had phone conversations, text messages, and of course, in-person conversations and she really takes the time not only to talk you through the scope of the project, but also to tell you WHY they need to do x, y, and z, and how long it should last you with good maintenance.

The good prices, exceptional work quality, and communication are the main reasons I love working with Vivian and the team, but the icing on the cake is that I feel good about their business model. It is a co-op, which means they have team leads that are co-owners of the company. They have a vested interest and they get fairly compensated for the work they are putting in. I love supporting a group of local folks!

We had Little Corner come out and replace siding on the front of our home. They were professional, polite, easy to work with and did EXCELLENT work. That is a hard combination of things to find these days. We were more than satisfied.

Little Corner replaced all the siding on our lil bungalow in Durham. We could not have been more pleased with the fair price and quality of of work! We were so pleased we had them do the all the porch work which included a new ceiling, pillars and actual deck boards.

Little Corner Construction is such an amazing company to work with. As soon as we contacted them, they quickly got back to us to schedule an appraisal and estimate. We had to have a lot of work done -- a complete basement renovation. They charged a very fair price (especially compared to others whose estimates for the same exact work were much higher). We were so pleased with their work -- building a retaining wall, rebuilding stairs, and adding in drainage. We were, in fact, so pleased that we hired them again for a second project!

They are great! I'm not a homeowner, but we had an incident where my kid got locked inside my car with the keys near Little Corner. They came out and helped us out of a stressful situation -- got the window open without damaging the car. Thanks so much!

Excellent experience with Little Corner! Vivian, Miguel, and Gloria were a pleasure to work with. Our fence turned out exactly how we were hoping, just based on one picture we pulled off pintrest. Great attention to detail, worked really fast, kept a very clean work site, and the price was super reasonable. Vivian and the rest of the team at Little Corner Construction did a great job on our back patio and fence. The co-op model ensures that everyone is personally committed to professionalism and excellence. They are a relatively new outfit, and seem to always be looking for ways to improve. Their estimate was competitive and they were very accommodating when we requested last-minute changes. We couldn't be happier with the final result!

Great work and very easy to work with. Responded within 24 hrs to first inquiry (nobody else did on first try, and only one other on a 2nd attempt). Did not require me to be home for appraisal. Good price. Great work. Went above and beyond and fixed a couple of boards elsewhere on the property while they were there without upselling. Really great experience all around and I'll use them every time I need them in the future!
