    When I got the job of shooting an artist's watercolors for him, he emphasized that I needed to get the colors right. That's when I turned to this. It is very accurate and basically easy to use. The best endorsement is that he said the photos were "spot on." I had a bit of a problem in that I use Bridge and Camera Raw for front-end editing and it is a bit clunky to get a .dng file to use for creating the profile. Once I learned the steps, it is now a comfortable routine. I think Lightroom is smoother.

    I had held off buying this thinking I could just use the camera profiles in Lightroom. But those profiles are terrible. So I got this and made profiles using both the X-Rite software and Adobe Profile Editor. They were also not very good. Then, after reading about it in a forum, I bought Lumariver Profile Designer for $30. I load the photos of the passport into Lumariver and I'm able to tweak the profile to my liking, and when I say to my liking, I mean to produce the most accurate colors. I have made profiles already for all kinds of lighting scenarios, and they are ready to go when I edit in Lightroom. Also, the white balance patches are accurate and the case closes up tight to protect the patches from the light. Fits in your pocket.

    A Color Checker has been my standby for decades. It’s very useful for ensuring accurate color in your photography. It was always great in the studio when its traditional large size was not a problem and often a benefit.

    This pocket size version is a lot easier to carry and use when shooting in the field. As a bonus, larger white and middle gray panels are available if you need to fill the camera’s field of view. White is more often used in video.

    I got tired of having to manually color correcting all my photos. All my lights have stable color temp, but it's still off a little. I would suggest setting your camera to not automatically set the color temp, but to instead each shoot that you use the same lighting setup, take your first shots with the card then in light room you can adjust all the photos at once using the color chart. It's a real time savor.

    Overall good product and worked for my needs, but it is to expensive. You need to take care of it: easy bends and must be really carefully with color blocks (dont touch them with wet fingers and so on): I put white paper sheet on color checker and forgottenly I put on it bigger book on it. Later white sheet was like sticked to one of the colors and when I took it off there was left blue color on white sheet.
    So be careful it can band, it can ease scratch the colors and I assume if some water spills on it it will be not usable anymore.

    €70 for this is quite frankly an astonishing rip off considering what you get by just paying €50 more for the CCPP2. The images also did not give me the impression that this was of such poor/fragile build quality. I would maybe pay 20 bucks for this disposable item.
