Buzy, whose real name is Marie-Claire Girod, was a French singer who started her artistic career through tap dancing, a discipline she will teach and which earned her the role of Columbia in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Everything accelerates in 1980 when she is noticed by Etienne Roda-Gil who sees in her a potential singer and who signs her in stride. This allows her to release in 1981 her first single "Dislexique", Single which will make a real success and sell more than 500,000 copies ! The album "Insomnies" from which it is extracted came out the same year.
In 1983 the album "Adrian" was released, which offered her two new hits with the Singles "Adrenaline" and "Adrian", the latter being carried by a high-flying clip which greatly contributed to her success.
Two years later in 1985 released the album "I love you Lulu" in tribute to Serge Gainsbourg, album which will mainly produce the Single of the same name.
But he had to wait until 1986 to see her experience a new notorious success thanks to the enormous "Body physical", the flagship Single of her discography which will work particularly in Germany and Japan.
Notable success which will be the last despite the release of other titles thereafter.
Artist who will leave us definitely on November 14, 2023 at the age of 66.
