Gemma Atkinson was left begging 'please' as she was left clarifying an edited image of herself that left her being told she looked too 'manly'. The Hits Radio host is no stranger to poking fun at herself and laughing off the many comments she receives on social media.

And so her latest video on her Instagram Story on Wednesday (March 20) was no different. The previous evening Gemma, 39, had taken to the platform to share a photo of herself that showed her emerging from the sea with her hands running through her wet hair.

But her arms looked spectacularly muscly and her abs appeared rock solid and while the Bury-born star is a keen gym-goer, she was keen to point out that isn't exactly what she looks like. There was also a tattoo on her stomach which she has had removed since the original image was taken.

Writing a message alongside the picture, Gemma said: "Ffs. Who did this?" alongside a string of crying laughing emojis. She then adding, referring to her personal trainer at Ultimate Performance Manchester: "Apparently Evil Steve works miracles."

She then shared the original image and while still looking healthy, toned and all-round fabulous in her mis-matched swimwear, Gemma pointed out: "To clarify, this is the original. Before I had children and before I had my tattoo removed. But thanks to those who messages to tell me I'd gone 'too far' and looked 'too manly'."

Gemma has since shared a video to her Instagram Story and as she appeared from her car, she said to the camera: "I'm howling because I'm still getting DMs regarding that first picture saying, 'Please stop, you've gone too far!' It's not real. Look at the picture. If you really think that's a real picture... Someone's, whatever you say, AI'd it, edited it.

She shared the edited picture to Instagram

"Clearly that's not a real picture. I mean, come one. Please. Please look at the picture first and think, is this real? Even if it was real, sending stuff like that is rude and weird but come on, be a bit more intelligent. It's not a real picture..."

She also added a screenshot of a message she was sent privately which read: "Too far this [is] very manly." She then typed alongside the post: "Wtf guys. Get yourself an eye test if you genuinely think that's a real picture!"

Gemma did laugh at some of the comments

It comes after Gemma previously joked that it was her Strictly Come Dancing star fiancé Gorka Marquez fault that she was back for a new 12-week programme at UP Fitness with her trainer dubbed 'Evil Steve'.

Gemma previously said: "The last time I did this was 2017 because we were getting me ready for Strictly and now, because of Strictly, I'm back here because it's due to Strictly I've had two children with Gorka." While laughing, she added: "So it's Gorka's fault really that I'm back again."
