Biography: Farrah Fawcett was one of the original cast of TV crime drama "Charlie's Angels", alongside Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson. She left the series in a shock move after one season, and was replaced by Cheryl Ladd.

Before "Charlie's Angels" Fawcett was already famous as the subject of the best-selling poster of all time which sold 12 million copies. The shot of her in a swimsuit, highlighted her famous blonde wavy hair.

Fawcett went on to receive critical acclaim for her acting in a number of roles, including the play "Extremities" and its later movie version, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe. She also earned an Emmy nomination for the TV movie "The Burning Bed" in 1984.

Farrah Fawcett made a controversial appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" in 1997, where she rambled and appeared vague.

Farrah later appeared in "The Aposotle" (1997) opposite Robert Duvall and in Robert Altman's "Dr. T & the Women" (2000).

Fawcett was diagnosed with cancer in 2006. Her illness was chronicled in the TV documentary "Farrah's Story" and featured her partner of 30 years Ryan O'Neal.
