Leaves narrowly oblanceolate, about 5mm long, short-lived. Flowers pea-like, violet-blue, rarely white, 1.6-1.8cm long, with somewhat inflated pale green calyces, in axillary or sub-terminal clusters of one to three, early summer. Stony mountain slopes to 2000m in S. France, Spain and Morocco; rare.
