Saxifraga oppositifolia (Purple Mountain Saxifrage) is a species of perennial herb in the family Saxifragaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Alaska, Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Greenland. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Fucellia pictipennis, Honey bee, Corynoneura scutellata, and Spilogona almqvistii. Individuals can grow to 0.049 m.
