EW's editorial guidelines Published on January 26, 2024 06:54PM EST Some fans are taking the news of Milo Ventimiglia's recent marriage to Jarah Mariano harder than Jack's death on This Is Us. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his new movie Land of Bad, the 46-year-old actor was asked about viewers being heartbroken over him being taken off the market. "I'm sure there's a few broken hearts," Ventimiglia acknowledged. "There's more than a few; there are a lot," host Jimmy Kimmel replied, before presenting an array of social media posts with comments like, "Nobody talk to me, I'm in mourning, Milo Ventimiglia just got married and it wasn't to me," and another asking, "What's the point anymore?" But Ventimiglia had some words of comfort to offer those fans. "The point is there's a lot of Milo Ventimiglias out there," he said. Milo Ventimiglia. And as Kimmel noted, some people were simply thrilled that Ventimiglia's wife's maiden name is the same as his character Jess' surname on Gilmore Girls. "It's a very easy connection to make," Ventimiglia said. "I think once people started to know her name in connection to my name and my name in connection to her name I was like, 'Oh yeah, that's right, that used to be my name.'" And for some fans, it always will be. Land of Bad hits theaters Feb. 16. For more from Ventimiglia, watch the video above.
