The World's oldest murder victim, Oetzi The Iceman. Oetzi's mummified remains were discovered in September 1991. Two German hikers discovered his remains in the Oetztal Alps, in South Tyrol, Northern Italy. Upon examination by the Archaeological Societies of Italy and around the world it was agreed that Oetzi had been murdered. Shot in the back by means of a bow & arrow. His remains have been dated to over 5,300 years old. He is said to have been approximately 45 years old at the time of his death. He was 5 foot 3 inches tall, weighed about 110 pounds. He had brown eyes and hair. Genetic studies have placed his lineage in isolated areas and islands such as Sardinia and Corsica.
