My Freddie Calathea is very tall--above 30". I can tell it wants more humidity because the leaf tips get brown. Has anyone tried a humidifier with this plant?

Could anyone please help with ID? May was sold as the regular plant of this specie, but she had those white stripes, is this normal or is she a kind of uncommon plant that I picked up?
