Borat actor Sacha Baron Cohen is all set to revive his famous spoof wannabe gangster character, Ali G, if reports are to be believed. Ali G first became known 25 years ago, and Baron Cohen may bring him back for his new stand-up tour.

Variety reports that Baron Cohen has been busy working on a stand-up tour, in which he plans to feature Ali G.

Who was Ali G?

Much like Sacha Baron Cohen’s character of a Kazakh reporter in and as Borat, the character of Ali G was also famous for conducting prank interviews with ‘experts’ on his television show. Ali G was popular in the early 2000s and even has a film to his credit, called Ali G Indahouse (2002).

Ali G made cameo appearances over the years, recently at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Sacha told GQ then, "I just wanted to get on stage and muck around and see what Ali G would be like with a crowd. It was really good fun."

Later, Ali G also made an appearance at a Sydney comedy club. Now, he will be part of new comic sets for Sacha Baron Cohen’s new stand-up acts.
