It is my opinion that he is dishonest and spiteful. Avoid him. I decided not to use him because I felt he was not trustworthy. And now he is trying to interfere with my current contractors and project causing me delays and additional costs.

We were interested in adding on our home in Brentwood. When Brian showed up for the interview, he did not just talk about the price but he provided ideas about how to do the project differently and less expensively.

We had no idea that Brian was both a contractor and designer. His ideas were very helpful and we would recommend his services to others.

Brian Simon is a TERRIBLE and DISHONEST contractor. I made the mistake of hiring him for a very large remodel project. He lured me in with an attractive bid and a fixed-price contract, but midway through construction, he refused to honor it. I discovered that he had underbid the job, and when it came time for him to pay the overage, he refused and quit (leaving me with a total mess). Brian is a bait and switch scam artist, and his bids are therefore worthless.

This was just one of the many issues, because Brian also did so many other inappropriate and unethical things. He collected money from me with the stated purpose that it was for a particular sub-contractor. I later learned that he failed to actually give the money to the sub-contractor. Brian committed to providing supervision, but failed to do so. He came to the job site only once every several weeks, and then only for less than 30 minutes. Many of Brian's sub-contractors did shoddy work, but Brian refused to accept responsibility or correct the issues.

Since I started telling people about my experience, other past clients of Brian's have come forward and told me that they had similar problems with him.

The bottom line is that Brian talks a big game, and touts his 35 years of experience, but there is no substance to him. He puts on a friendly face and appears to have a nice demeanor. Don't be fooled, because Brian embodies all of the negative things that homeowners hate about contractors.

Find a different contractor, because if you hire Brian, you will surely regret it.

avoid like the plague! do not get "caught up in the rapture" of brian simon's façade of "ethics" and "level-headedness." it is a farse and he is a scam! do not add yourself to a long list of wealthy ca homebuyers by choosing corner! look somewhere else!!!
