My wife planned to pass by this park during our walking day tour of Brussels. Without any expectations, the first impression I got from this public garden was that of London's Hyde Park, which we had the pleasure of visiting a week before.
It wasn't crowded on Saturday morning when we passed through. This was a soak it in moment upon seeing the serenity amid the bustling chaos during the wekeday.
I marveled at the comical sculptures of Geluck's Le Chat (The Cat) as well as the older figures situated in the vicinity. Snapped a lot of photos is what I did.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Jul 17, 2023
This is a beautiful park near the Royal Palace. Lots of shade trees and space for walking and meditating. Be sure to take a stroll through the row of Le Chat statues.
Like many places in Europe, there are no free public toilets, however there is a portable bathroom with attendants available for 50 cents.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Sep 30, 2023
This 32 acre Royal Park is opposite castle. It was the city's first public park, laid out around 1776 in a neoclassical style by a French architect & Austrian landscape architect. Inside are 60 mythical sculptures. Elms, maples, beech, chestnut & plane trees line the park.

A beautiful park close to the city center that will bring you joy and a sense of serenity! Located steps away from the Royal Palace, this park is not huge but attracts a decent crowd of tourists and joggers. The national parade route is along the park. Over the summer, there is also a big annual music festival that take places right by the park. Over the winter months, there is very little going on. But I actually like the peacefulness to it!
No need to pay a special visit as you will likely stumble upon this park on your way to the royal palace, king Albert statue, the EU parliament, etc. Enjoy your time here if you do have a few minutes out of your day!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Jun 3, 2017
Another impressive park in the middle of Brussels. Actually this made me realise that Brussels is nowhere near as small as it appears because this place is a bit of a hike from the old city where we where staying, and it is around here that you find the Royal Palace (yep, Belgium still has a king), and a number of museums. However this is the park in the area, and it is basically your typical park - quite large, quite green, and with what looked like a circus in the middle (even though the circus wasn't operating at the time). It was a lovely place to wander through, and it isn't too far from the metro station either.

The Brussels Park is the park surrounded by couple historical buildings, such as Place de la Nation, Place Royale and Palais de Bruxelles are really close by. It's the biggest park in the centre of Brussels ( beside Jubelpark), the park also as known as "Warandepark".
The park itself isn't so big,it didn't take long to walk around the whole park. But it is great to have such as nice place for some greens and some walks. The buildings around it are the plus points. Inside the park got two fountains, one theater and some other things. In summer, this is quite a nice place to chill. But in winter, it just seem a bit naked here, very cold. For me, the park itself is just alright.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 8, 2018
Totally awesome park. I would say probably one of the better ones in Europe. My favorite is the one in Madrid but this comes in second. It is very large so plan on wearing good shoes for the dirt roads. They have a pretty grand fountain in the middle. There are boulevards of trees all over the park that makes this park so nice. I saw a bunch of people just having a picnic, sitting out on the grass. The playground was busy but a lot of fun for a little kid. They had all sorts of fun things to do on the playground. There was a guy dressed as a clown making animal balloons. I'd imagine that this would cost something. This park is super easy to get to from the city center. It took us about 20 min to walk to from the Grand Place. I highly recommend coming here.

The park is an enjoyable place to go for a walk near the city centre. Even in winter it's nice to go to.
The trees along the edge of the park have been trained to grow along canes so that they are flat and square. It's quite a cool effect and I'm sure looks even better in summer.
There are numberous statues and fountains around the park, I'm not sure what of as my Belgian history isn't that great but they were interesting to look at nether less.
The park also has a jogging track and notices asking you to stay off the grass.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Chelsea B.Corvallis, OR205354135Feb 4, 2012
Parc Royal is a lovely park opposite of the Royal Palace in Brussels. Taking in the Royal Palace and enjoying a stroll through the Parc Royal makes for a lovely morning in Brussels. While the king and his family do not live in the Royal Palace (they live on the outskirts of Brussels), the palace and the Parc Royal make for great sightseeing and a great jumping-off point for other places in Brussels. The park has beautiful fountains, benches, and lush green spaces to relax in or even have a picnic lunch.
The Park (Parc) metro stop comes up right on the outskirts of the park, so it's very easy to navigate. After you enjoy the park, walk down Rue Royal and you will find the Place Royal, a historic square in Brussels, and the wonderful Magritte Museum. Then, simply take a right down Rue Ravenstein and you will find yourself with a beautiful view of the Mont des Arts and lower Brussels. It is all so close together that you can knock off a lot of must-do Brussels sights in a short walk. Enjoy!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
