Levy County man arrested for committing sex crimes against a minor and disabled adult

The Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) arrested 51-year-old Johannes Van-Akkeren yesterday, Oct. 27th, for sex crimes committed against a minor and a disabled adult.

The LCSO said the evidence in the case showed that Van-Akkeren engaged in unlawful sexual acts with minor and disabled adult in the Chiefland area.

The evidence also indicated that other sex crimes were committed by Van-Akkeren on these victims in other jurisdictions, said LCSO.

The LCSO said Van-Akkeren is being held at the Levy County Detention Center on a bond of $3 million.
