Description

Dianthus Barbatus Nanus - Dwarf Sweet William is an old-fashioned cottage garden plant that usually grows as a self-seeding biennial. This dwarf strain produces clusters of fragrant flowers that come in shades of pink, salmon, rose, red, & white, that often have an attractive contrasting eye, & light green foliage. It is recommended to remove fading flowers to help encourage more buds to form. Another tip is to prune plants back hard after blooming because this will encourage them to survive for another year. They have a blooming season that lasts from late Spring to early Summer, grows best in full sun in either normal, sandy or clay soil that is well-draining, & will grow between 8 - 12 inches tall. These showy flowers will attract numerous pollinators to your garden such as Hummingbirds, Butterflies, & Bees while being resistant to Deer & Rabbits. They make great cut flowers, do well in containers, beds, borders, & can be used for edging. Another great feature of this plant is that it is easy to care for, which makes this the perfect plant for the beginning gardener! You don't want to miss out on this plant find, it will definitely add a nice flare to your Summer garden! 40+ seed per pack Planting Zone: 2 - 9 Full Sun Height: 8 inches - 12 inches Width: 8 inches - 12 inches Attracts Hummingbirds, Butterflies, Bees Fragrant Showy Great for Cut Flowers, Containers, Borders, Edging Deer & Rabbit resistant Easy care I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised & cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine,Florida.
