Is it coming home? Or are they?

The second and final round of World Cup quarterfinal games takes place in Russia today, with the winners of both games set to face off against each other in the semis. First, England take on Sweden in a fixture that could not possibly be any more of a banana skin than if it actually was; before the hosts go head-to-head with a scary-looking Croatia. Both games should be close; both games should be fun. Stick with us!

Manchester United points of interest

England stars Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young and Marcus Rashford will all be hoping for gametime against Sweden, though only the first two are likely to make the starting lineup. Phil Jones hasn’t got a hope in hell. (Sorry, Phil.) United defender Victor Lindelöf should partner Sweden captain Andreas Granqvist at the centre of their defence.

There are, as far as we can see, no particular points of interest in the second game, unless you think we really are interested in signing Croatia winger Ivan Perišić. In which case, well ... let’s hope not.

This will be our live thread for the day, so stick around and chat with us.
