Adrian Pasdar is getting back into politics in a big way.
The onetime Heroes senator has been cast as the President of the United States in Political Animals, USA Network‘s star-studded six-part drama series set to debut on Sunday, July 15 at 10/9c.
The project, from Greg Berlanti (Brothers & Sisters, Everwood) and Laurence Mark (Jerry Maguire), stars Sigourney Weaver as Elaine Barrish, the matriarch of a former first family fighting political adversaries while struggling with their own demons.
Pasdar’s character, Paul Garcetti, defeated Weaver’s ex first lady in the presidential primary and then appointed her as his Secretary of State. A smart man who uses every resource at his disposal to his advantage, he deftly employs Elaine’s popularity to deflect unwanted attention.
The cast also includes Lone Star‘s James Wolk and Gossip Girl‘s Sebastian Stan as Elaine’s polar-opposite twin sons, Brittany Ishibashi (Ghostfacers) as Wolk’s fiancée, Ellen Burstyn as Elaine’s mother, and Carla Gugino (Entourage) as a journalist hellbent on destroying Barrish’s career.

Does this mean he’s not Kalinda’s husband on The Good Wife? Boo.
Given this show runs 6 episodes in july/august…i don’t think schedule would be a problem :)
You just answered my question lol….guess he can be in this and The Lying Game
Good choice!
Does this mean he won’t be on The Lying Game anymore?
When are they going to start making episodes of Profit again? Best show canceled way too soon. It was before its time.
Due to the shows short episode count he will be able to juggle The Good Wife, the Lying Game and this is he wants to and if the roles are not to time consuming either way he is wonderfully talented.
Hell of a cast
Ghostfacers, as in the Supernatural tie-in? Cool. Cool cool cool.
I was going to ask about the Lying Game as well!! Glad it seems he can do both. Definitely have to check Political Animals, love James Wolk and Sebastian Stan too!!!!
