Milo Ventimiglia Is Married to Jarah Mariano! Here's What We Know About the Couple's Secret Wedding

Milo Ventimiglia is officially off the market. The Gilmore Girls andThis Is Us star tied the knot with model Jarah Mariano in a secret wedding earlier this year, a source confirmed to People on October 30, 2023. According to Us Weekly, the couple exchanged vows in a private and intimate ceremony with family and close friends. The outlet also noted that Troy Williams of Simply Troy planned the affair.

While the actor—whose bride's maiden name is, believe it or not, an exact match for his fictional Gilmore Girls surname, Mariano—is famously private with his romantic life, the Instagram account Deuxmoi was the first to reveal that Ventimiglia and Mariano were an item. In 2022, a follower asked the pop culture account whom Ventimiglia was dating, and Deuxmoi answered the question by posting a photo of the couple to their Instagram Story. The image was a screenshot of another Instagram Story from @johannacyn’s account. In the photo, the pair is pictured in their bathing suits, gazing into each other eyes while popping open a bottle of Champagne. “Welcome to the hood @jarahm + Mi,” the text on the screen says, suggesting that the two had moved to a new neighborhood together.

In 2017, Ventimiglia opened up to People about the reason why he prefers to conceal the details of his personal life. “I try to minimize myself, so people can see the character and can really dive into the work,” he explained. “I try and remain as anonymous and invisible as I can, so it doesn’t take away from the experience of the men that I play. I don’t know how interesting my life is any more than anyone else’s.” 

The actor elaborated on his preference for privacy in another interview with the outlet. “I feel like there’s a currency to your personal life and your performance, your acting, your work,” he noted. “If that personal life starts to outweigh what the work is, then your work suffers. Your actual performance suffers because the audience won’t see the character, they’ll see you. And then, you’re just playing yourself, but you’re playing a version of yourself that’s not yourself. I have a life, but nobody needs to know about it because I’m just the same as anyone else.”

Although the actor has never talked about his romantic partners in the media, he did give some insight into the qualities that he looks for in a significant other. During an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in February 2023, Ventimiglia said “honesty, authenticity, and intellect,” were three of his top priorities. He also revealed that he's a big cuddler and would rate himself as a 20 on a scale of one to 10, with 10 being the cuddliest.
