A roughly-hairy upright, slowly spreading perennial with grey-green heart-shaped, evergreen leaves. The butter-yellow flowers are held in the leaf axils around the 80cm tall stems from June to August. The seedheads turn brown after flowering and provide some architectural beauty all winter.
