A downy alpine with divided silvery leaves, growing up to 30cm tall. The nodding or upright, bell-shaped open flowers are a bright deep red with a prominent yellow centre from March-May. The flowers are followed by attractive feathery seed heads that provide summer interest.

Pasque flowers like a humus-rich, well-drained soil in sun. Great for a rockery, coastal garden or a sunny border.
