A permanent bloomer is how our supplier describes this splendid, border-enhancing perennial. To be honest, however, you will have to settle for May to October as the period when it will produce for you its lovely, delicately scented, two inch, yellow flowers with a central brown circle. Good for cutting, we're sure you'll be able to spare some for the vase. 1½ft (40cm)

    Coreopsis lanceolata, 'Sterntaler'

    Flowers not as expected.

Out of 20 plants only one of them had the brown centre, the others were all plain yellow. Plenty of flowers, which flop, so best in among supporting plants.
