After a brief scare, police confirmed an American landmark has not, in fact, been hit by a drone.
Tourists at Seattle's Space Needle reported seeing a drone hover around the tower before possibly crashing into an observation deck window Tuesday evening, but Seattle police found no damage to the tower, The Seattle Times reported.
The camera-equipped drone flew to a hotel, where police found the man controlling it. Police viewed footage from the machine, which showed people waving from the Space Needle observation deck, but no signs of buzzing into the building, The Seattle Times wrote.

The pilot told police he was an Amazon.com employee and had bought the drone at a hobby shop. He agreed not to fly the drone in public while in the city, The Seattle Times said.
