One of the best varieties of lamb's ears with large, fuzzy, and supremely touchable, gray foliage. This semi-evergreen, drought tolerant groundcover is easy to maintain and fun to grow; simply cut back the foliage in spring or whenever it's looking shabby, give it plenty of sun, and good drainage. It blooms only occasionally and many gardeners cut them away when they appear as they detract from the main attraction; its fabulous foliage. YOu may also found it sold as Stachys byzantina 'Big Ears'.

This perennial features prominently in this section of my front yard garden in Portland, OR USDA Zone 8b.
