Keith Urban, I love you so much and you are so bad at this! For those not keeping up, the musician and his wife, Nicole Kidman, attended Taylor Swift’s Eras tour a month ago, and Urban posted a video of himself having a grand old time…that also caught a tall person and a shorter person getting intimate in the background.
What happens in the celeb tent is supposed to stay in the celeb tent, but eagle-eyed TikTokers (okay, it wasn’t that hard to tell) quickly deduced that these figures were in fact Bo Burnham and Phoebe Bridgers making out, confirming their rumored relationship. Now, everyone involved could claim plausible deniability through it all. Urban clearly didn’t realize he’d done anything Zapruder-like, and it’s not as if we clearly saw Phoebe’s face. It’s just that, well, how many silver-haired friends does Taylor Swift have?
Anyway, Urban didn’t address the, let’s say, accidental leak—until now, when he apologized, but in doing so confirmed it was them.
“Yeah, oh, I found out,” Urban said of his inadvertent gossip sharing while talking to Entertainment Tonight. “Phoebe, I’m so sorry.” Dude!!!!!!!!! Just say no comment!!!!!!!! “It felt very awkward,” he added about the whole thing. “I felt bad. I was just digging on the concert! You never know what’s gonna happen.”
For whatever it’s worth, the TikTok is still up, and it’s still fun to watch Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman having an absolute blast….

This has got to make it into a future Taylor song! I saw my friends kiss backstage. / He don’t know he’s filming it, blame his age. Or something, but better (I’m not a songwriter!). You’re not a genius you’re just a boy…there’s something there.
For their part, neither Burnham nor Bridgers has addressed the rumors, the kiss, or the apology, but oh, my God, the song will totally be called “Burning Bridges” right? Sorry, I’ll stop now.
