Isabelle Huppert was the epitome of French glamour as she graced the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival last week.

The actress attended the premiere of the Leonard Berstein biopic, Maestro, starring and directed by Bradley Cooper.

For the occasion, the star wore a shimmering silver fringed gown by French designer Balenciaga. She completed the look with a pair of statement chunky high-heeled boots and silver pendant earrings.

The 70-year-old star star styled her chin-length bob in loose, wet-look waves adding to her overall sleek and chic aesthetic.

The Venice Film Festival is usually one of the biggest events in the cinema calendar and its 2023 edition takes places from 30th August to 9th September.

The festival’s 80th edition also coincides with the US' actors strikes, meaning that some Hollywood stars will be unable to appear on the red carpet – although some films have secured interim agreements with actors’ union Sag-Aftra.

Last week, Amal Clooney was spotted as she stepped out with her husband, George Clooney in Venice ahead of the city's 80th International Film Festival.

Opting for a chic and graceful look, Amal wore a beautiful floral shift dress. The monochrome dress showcased a stunning black and white floral design for a truly classic ensemble. In some sweet moments, Amal and George were seen linking arms and holding hands as they walked together, with smiles on their faces.
