If you’ve seen The Wizard of Oz, you might recall the scene in which Dorothy and her friends fall asleep in a field of magic poppies. But if Ariana Grande had written the story, we bet the flowers would have been a little more pink—perhaps a field of peonies instead.

The “Yes, And” singer has really been embracing a soft pink palette as she promotes her upcoming film Wicked, in which she plays Glinda Upland, a.k.a. The Wizard of Oz’s Glinda the Good Witch. And this streak continued when Grande appeared at CinemaCon 2024 in Las Vegas on Wednesday wearing a bright pink-and-white floral gown from Oscar de la Renta.

Grande’s minidress looked like it was literally blooming onstage, thanks to the oversize petals made of rippling fabric—which looked so realistic, we’re sure bees would have tried to land on her if she’d stepped outside. The individual petals featured white bases and bright pink tips, while the center of the design featured a yellow stigma. To match the piece, the Victorious alum added a pair of white heels and accessorized with dainty gold drop earrings.

Grande’s costar Cynthia Erivo—who plays Elphaba—wore an equally fitting ensemble to match her Wicked Witch of the West role. For the event, Erivo sported a sparkly silver Versace miniskirt, which she paired with an off-the-shoulder jade-green top and matching satin thigh-high boots.

As the two stars promote Wicked, their stylists seem to have taken a page out of Law Roach’s “method dressing” book, because Erivo and Grande have been wearing plenty of green and pink looks, respectively, to match their characters. Who knows how they’ll embrace the colors next.
