“Tamarix pentandra” Pierre Ducassek sartu zuen Donostian 1885ean, egokia baitzen Kontzako badian izaten diren itsasoko haizeel aurre egiteko. Tamariz multzoak edertasun handiko lorategi historiko eta berezia osatzen du, eta, hori dela eta, hiriaren ikur bilakatu da. Donostiako Hiri Antolamenduku Plan Orokorrak babestu egiten ditu arbola hauek, eta horrek trataera berezia eskaintzen die.

El "Tamarix pentandra" fue introducido en San Sebastián en el año 1.885 por Pierre Ducasse, en razón a su adaptabilidad a la bahía de La Concha y su resistencia a los vientos marinos. El conjunto de Tamarix conforma un jardin histórico y singular de gran belleza que se ha convertido en un simbolo de la ciudad. Están protegidos por el Plan General de Urbanismo de San Sebastián, lo cual les otorga un tratamiento especial.

Se ruega prestar atención a las peculiaridades de estos extraordinarios árboles, ya que existen ramas bajas.

Ils sont protégés par le Plan Général d'Urbanisme de San Sebastián, ce qui leur donne un traitement spécial.

The "Tamarix Pentandra was first introduced in San Sebastian in the year 1,885 by Pierre Ducasse, due to its suitability to "La Concha bay area and its resistance to sea winds. The Tamarix set forms a very singular historical garden of great beauty that has become a true icon of the city. This species is protected by the General Plan of Urbanism of San Sebastian, which grants them a special treatment.

Therefore, we ask for caution and special attention to the particularities of these extraordinary trees, since there are some low branches.
