Shia LaBeouf was hospitalized after sustaining a head injury while filming in North Dakota.
“Shia LaBeouf sustained minimal injuries late last night on the set of his current film, American Honey,” his rep said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “As protocol, production sought out medical attention and Shia received stitches on his hand and for a laceration on his head. He is due back on set tomorrow.”
According to TMZ, which first reported the news, LaBeouf was shooting a scene in which he was to put his head through a glass window. The shoot did not go as planned and he was injured, receiving 20 stitches and 13 staples to his head and finger.
American Honey, directed by Andrea Arnold, centers on a teen who joins a magazine sales crew and gets caught up in a whirlwind of hard partying, law bending and young love.
