Plant description

Artemisia arborescens 'Powis Castle', tree wormwood, is an evergreen, woody stemmed perennial. It has ferny silvery blue foliage which is aromatic. It has sprays of single yellow flowers in summer. It is frost and salt tolerant.

Artemisia likes a sunny position, and well drained soil. Tolerates periods of dryness. Dislikes boggy soil.

Propagation is from tip cuttings or by seed.
