Plant description
Convolvulus 'Moroccan Beauty' is a woody stemmed, trailing, evergreen perennial that is a decorative flowering groundcover plant. This is a very dense and compact form, with delightful mid-blue trumpet shaped flowers, produced in abundance from spring to autumn. It is an easy care garden plant, with few pests or diseases, and suits a wide range of soil types. Once established, it is reasonably dry tolerant, and is tolerant of light frosts. It doesn't need pruning to stay dense, but can be cut back to shape if it spreads too far. It is good as a groundcover, or planted on walls or in containers where it will cascade over the edge. It likes a well drained soil, and a sunny position, and will also do well in a partly shaded area. It is a good plant for poolside and seaside plantings, as it is salt tolerant and a very tidy plant.
The seeds are poisonous if eaten.
