While some couples like to take things slow, actress and producer Kaley Cuoco and former tennis pro Ryan Sweeting did the opposite.

After first meeting in August 2013, Cuoco and Sweeting got engaged the next month and wed in December of that year. Like other couples in whirlwind courtships, The Flight Attendant star and her beau couldn't keep their hands off each other — whether on the red carpet, at the beach, or sitting courtside at a Lakers game.

Our favorite PDA moment, however? When they made out at Craig's in West Hollywood during a triple date with Haylie Duff and her then-boyfriend Matt Rosenberg and Ali Fedotowsky and her husband Kevin Manno (the other two couples were also kissing). Needless to say, it made for a great photo that Cuoco shared in a now-deleted post on Instagram, per E! News.

However, just as fast as Cuoco and Sweeting's romance took off, it quickly ended. By September 2015, the couple split and filed for divorce after nearly two years of marriage. The Based on a True Story actress moved on, marrying her second husband, Karl Cook, in 2018 before their separation in 2021 and divorce in 2022.

Since her split from Cook, she has been enjoying parenthood and date nights with fellow actor and partner Tom Pelphrey, whom she welcomed daughter Matilda Carmine Pelphrey with in March 2023. Amazing how much can change in a decade, right?

Here's a look back at Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting's relationship.

"I was just not in a good place to meet anyone. I said, 'I'm not ready. I'm taking time away from love for a while.' I was very sad."

Sweeting was in Los Angeles to visit his doctor after suffering a back injury, and their friend said, "'You know, he's coming to town. You've got one day to meet him, have a drink, and meet him.'"

"We couldn't be happier. It's the best, the best, moments of our lives," Sweeting said in 2014, according to People, adding that marrying Cuoco has made his whole outlook on life "a lot more positive."

Cuoco declared that she's "not nuts" in response to criticism about the rapid pace of her relationship and shared how the surprise wedding ceremony came together on The Late Show with David Letterman

"We were throwing a New Year's Eve party anyway, and I was like, 'Let's throw a ceremony in the party and not tell anybody,'" she reportedly told the late-night host during a 2014 appearance (via E! News).

She added, "We texted a little bit. Dinner was great, and then he moved in the next day. I know, it sounds so slutty, but it wasn't. It all did move quite fast on paper, but we really did know."

Sweeting agreed, revealing in a rare interview that he knew Cuoco was his soul mate.

"I had never really felt that feeling before, really," he previously said at the Grammy event. "The second I got here, I didn't want to go home. We spent every minute together, and I still haven't left from our blind date."
