        1. There are two species of bee grabber in the UK, the other being Physocephala nigra (Large Black Beegrabber).

          It's much rarer and mostly seen in the south west of the UK with occasional spots in my south east,

''Physocephala rufipes'' is a species of fly from the genus ''Physocephala'' in the family Conopidae. Their larvae are endoparasites of bumble bees of the genus ''Bombus''. It is common throughout much of Europe.
