Belgian cartoonist Jeroom studied graphic design at the Sint-Lucas School of Arts in Ghent from 1996 to 1999, and one of his teachers was Ever Meulen. He has published his work in Humo since 1998, including contributions to the satirical section 'Het Gat van de Wereld'. He has also worked for foreign magazines, such as NRC Handelsblad (The Netherlands), Mojo (UK), Kreuzer (Germany) and Strapazin (Switzerland).
Among his characters are 'Tettenman', 'Reetman', 'Jos, het debiele ei', 'Ridder Bauknecht' and 'Daan en Seppe', and his work has been collected in several books since 2002. He is the winner of the Belgium Press Cartoon 2002.
