Both round and long tables at a wedding are wonderful options for their own reasons. Round tables are often more convivial and easier for everyone to interact, whereas long tables create a nice bustle throughout the room. Whichever you decide, it’s important you think about how you dress them, as when it comes to florals, certain arrangements work better on certain table shapes.

1. Large central arrangement
A classic way to make an impact is to invest in one large central floral arrangement filled with lots of lovely blooms. That way the arrangement won’t feel lost within the centre of the table.

2. High central arrangement
Go big and glamorous with a high central arrangement, it’s a great way to bring opulence to the table but without blocking the view of your guests.

3. Cluster of small bud vases
A lovely dainty option is to create lots of pretty bud vase arrangements and cluster them together, along with small tea lights or longer tapered candles.

4. Planted garden
A cool, more alternative and organic option is to incorporate herbs in terracotta pots and arrangements that feel more ‘planted’. This can be achieved by making the arrangements within oasis foam, or by grouping together pots of varying heights.

5. Wreathed lantern
A classically romantic option that’s often quite cost effective is a floral or foliage wreath around a lantern. Usually created within floristry foam, they’ll last for days after your wedding day so are a lovely thing for people to take home with them too.

A traditional and pretty option is to have your floral arrangements sprouting out of urns, be they terracotta or metal. It’s a nice way to set the tone of the day and make an impact on the table. 7. Candles and foliage

8. Bottles of blooms
Do more with less by placing pretty stems of flowers and foliage into mismatch bottles and cluster them in the centre of the table. Many couples often place these on top of a tray or a slice of wood to ground the bottles to the table.
9. Foliage garland
