Astrantia major 'Alba'

Common Name: 'Masterwort'

A hardy clump-forming perennial with mounds of deeply lobed, dark green leaves. Pale greenish-white, pincushion-like flowers surrounded by a ruff of green-tipped white bracts are produced over a long period. Jun-Aug. H80cm S60cm.

Care Instructions

  • Grow in full sun or partial shade and fertile, moist, preferably humus-rich soil. Try growing it on mass with blue Hostas in a shady border or at the edge osf a woodland. Good cut flower.
