The Volvo XC40 Recharge boasts an all-electric powertrain that can reach 223 miles of pure electric range and can charge from ten to 80-percent in 37 minutes with a 150-kilowatt DC fast charger. All of the mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines offered between the XC40 and XC60 are 2.0L four-cylinder engines with eight-speed automatic transmissions, but that is as far as the similarities go.
