Mazus reptans

Creeping groundcover that produces tubular, lavender flowers in late spring to early summer.  Dense carpet of foliage grows to approximate 2" high and spreads along creeping stems that root at the nodes.  Works well between stepping stones and in rock gardens, and will tolerate foot traffic.  Prefers rich, moist soil in full sun to part shade.
