Name: Salvia nemorosa Sensation Deep Blue
Description: This perennial salvia, although dwarf, is a well-branched, strong grower and it makes a nice pot quickly. It’s a profuse bloomer and forms a compact, tidy habit. It flowers from May to August and grows to 12 inches tall and 12 inches wide.
Hardiness: USDA Hardiness Zone 4.
In the landscape: Use in perennial borders, rockeries and containers. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Allow soil to dry thoroughly between waterings. Remove spent flower spikes to keep plant tidy. It’s deer and rabbit resistant.
