Wooly yarrow makes a perfect addition to the rock garden. The short, grey-green, wooly, fragrant mat-forming (phew!) foliage is perfectly adapted to a hot, sunny, dry location. Sunshine yellow umbel flowers bloom from late spring to early autumn. Deadhead to encourage additional blooms.

This tough plant is deer, rabbit, and drought tolerant. However, it is not tolerant of hot, humid. climates. Sadly, we cannot recommend this cutie to our southern friends.

Fun Fact:
This plant is named for Achilles, who is said to have used the leaves to help soothe his soldiers' wounds.
