Cutleaf Bleeding Heart (Dicentra formosa 'Luxuriant')

When given the moist, partly shaded areas it prefers, 'Luxuriant' will not stop blooming from May through September. Its cherry-red hearts appear in clusters on stems rising a few inches above its ferny green foliage. It tolerates more sun and heat, but will still flower heaviest in spring and fall with moderate bloom production in the hottest part of the summer. Keep spent blooms picked off and keep it watered during dry spells. Height is 12–18".
