Weeping Larch
Weeping Larch (Larix decidua 'Pendula'). A weeping ornamental tree with soft green needles in the spring that turn a nice golden colour in the fall. Loses its needles in the winter and is moisture tolerant. An excellent specimen tree for small landscapes and water features.

Weeping Crabapple tree (Malus x. 'Royalty Beauty'). A weeping ornamental tree with purple leaves and pink flowers in spring. Excellent for those small landscapes with a height and spread of 9'. Should be pruned to keep foliage off the ground.

Caragana arborescens 'Pendula' - Weeping Caragana Small ornamental weeping shrub grafted onto a hardy root stock. Blooms heavily with yellow blossoms in early spring. Swedish Columnar Aspen Populus t
Populus tremuloides 'erecta' - Swedish Columnar Aspen. They don't send out runners like Tower Poplar. This columnar aspen has a dense form with small serrated oval leaves. Spring foliage emerges red-bronze then matures to green and turns red and yellow in the fall. Leaves on the new growth are very large compared to the rest of its foliage. Is a very popular tree in residential yards and tight spaces. Works well as a specimen tree or in mass plantings. Drought tolerant.

Chokecherry (Amur, ‘Schubert’)
Schubert Chokecherry or Bailey Select Schubert is a fast growing, straight-trunk tree. Green leaves is the spring that mature to deep purple in summer, turning red in fall. Minimal suckering. 24' tall and 18' wide. The black berries are edible and make great jams. Another variety is the Spur Schubert which is slight smaller, 15' wide.

American Mountainash (Sorbus americana)
American Mountain Ash (Sorbus americana). An attractive ornamental tree with dark green leaves and white flowers in the spring turning to reddish-orange berries. Attractive fall foliage with its orange & red leaves. Its bark is a cinnamon brown color. Requires well drained soil. A native plant that attracts birds. Other Mountain Ash species are the European, Skinners & Showy. All very similar and interchangeable except for slightly different growth habits and sizes.

Weeping Juliana 'Hers' Lilac - Small, delicately-leaved, weeping ornamental variety. Deliciously fragrant, pendulous light mauve flowers. Blooms heavily in spring and sporadically throughout summer. Just ready for purchase at the tree nursery around here, so I am excited to plant them into future gardens.

Laurel Leaf Willow - Salix pentandra. Give this tree plenty of room to grow with its height and spread being over 30'. Makes an excellent shade tree or plant in a mass grouping to create a wind row. Can be single or multi-stemmed. Dark green leaves turn gold in fall. They are one of the last ones to lose their leaves. Tolerates both dry and wet conditions.

Amur Cherry is a tree that has something special to offer all 4 seasons. This medium size tree 24' tall, 15' wide has green leaves with white flowers in the spring followed by tiny black cherries in the fall. Their golden brown bark makes this an attractive tree even in winter and is one of my favorite in urban and country landscapes.

American Elm - North American Insects & Spiders
American Elm is a fast growing shade tree native to North America. Has a vase-shaped canopy with dark green leaves turning yellow in the fall. 60' tall and 45' wide. A cultivar variety is the Brandon Elm. It has a more compact, vase-shaped canopy and is slightly smaller reaching 45' tall and 30' wide. Both tolerates dry and wet conditions. An attractive tree for any country landscape.

Iseli Fastigiate Colorado Spruce

Colorado Blue Spruce. A pyramidal for evergreen tree with pointy needles ranging from green to silver blue. It has a height of 60' and a spread of 20' so give this tree plenty of room to grow. Their large stout branches are to not to be pruned up off the ground making this not the most suitable tree for urban lots. Looks good as a specimen tree or in mass plantings. In mass planting we plant trees 12 - 15' apart as they can grow together. Deer resistant and drought tolerant.
