(Salix matsudana Tortuosa) Corkscrew willow

Corkscrew willow is a tall shrub or small to medium tree with contorted and twisted branches, twigs and leaves. Leaves are lance-shaped and curled. Twisting branches are very attractive without leaf in the winter. Corkscrew willow is best on moist ground. Native to north-eastern China and Korea.
