From the hallways of East High to their IRL grownup lives, it’s clear that Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens are still “all in this together.” The former High School Musical stars have kept in touch for years, and now, Ashley’s new baby Jupiter got to have her first snuggles with “Aunt Nessa.”
In a series of Instagram Story pics on Friday, May 28, Ashley shared the moment her baby Jupiter met her longtime friend. One snap depicts Vanessa holding the two-month-old on the couch, with another showing the actor’s big smile when looking down at Ashley’s daughter. “Literally Jupiter opened her arms like ‘hold me’ the minute she met Ness,” Ashley wrote alongside one of the photos. “It warmed my heart.”

Ashley and Christopher French announced the birth of their daughter, Jupiter Iris French, back in March. Since her arrival earlier this spring, Ashley has posted a lot of updates about life as a new mom, including a super-sweet Easter photo with Jupiter dressed as a little bunny, a touching post to celebrate Mother’s Day, and even an aww-worthy pic of Jupiter snoozing alongside her pup Sushi.

It’s no surprise that Jupiter warmed up almost immediately to Vanessa; despite the tension between their on-screen HSM characters, Ashley and Vanessa have remained extremely close since they said their final farewell to East High over a decade ago. The actors are known to hang out together, attend the same weddings, and they even renovated one another’s houses a few years ago. Ashley even named an eyeshadow shade after Vanessa! It seems as though “Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat” continues to be the truest motto — and we have a feeling it transcends generations, too.
