Aster ‘Berggarten’ is a mildew-resistant variety, especially valuable for its early flowering period. In late May and June, it bears masses of large, lavender-blue flowers with bright orange centres above mat-forming clumps of dark green, lance-shaped leaves. This reliable perennial thrives in all soils and makes a useful addition to the front of borders, cut flower gardens, wildlife areas and patio containers. Height: 40cm (16in). Spread: 50cm (20in).

Plant Michaelmas Daisy plants into fertile, moist, well drained soil, and situate them in full sun or semi shade. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting.

Feed and water frequently throughout the summer to ensure an endless supply of flowers. Deadhead faded aster flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
