Malus 'Profusion' is a tree with a round, later ovoid crown with somewhat pendulous branches. Height 6 - 7 m. The purplish-green leaves measure 6 - 10 cm, are sometimes 3-lobed and take on a brownish-red colour in the autumn. Deep red flower buds give way to dark purple-red flowers. The flowers are single and approx. 4 cm in diameter. The fruits start out dark purple but later turn blood red and have a diameter of 1 - 1.5 cm. The tree can be used in streets and gardens. It makes heavy demands on the soil as regards moisture supply and fertility. 'Profusion' is sensitive to scab. Winter hardiness zone: 4
