A $10 Upgrade for Your Shoes Inspired by Prada and Pucci

Yesterday’s Prada show offered up plenty of styling tips for the eclectic dresser—corsets, notebooks on chokers, tights as pants!—but the runway’s simplest trend to incorporate into one’s wardrobe now is the addition of multicolored shoelaces. Woven in the models’ teetering wedge boots, red and black spangled laces gave each look a streetwise feel and also touched on the nautical spirit of the collection, referencing the many-hued rope sailors use to secure sails.

Above, we propose five styling tips to put a little pep in your step.
