After conquering France with his exquisite Palais de Tokyo exhibition sponsored by Céline, Ugo Rondinone has returned to the art scene to reinvent nature once again with a new project, Seven Magic Mountains, organized in partnership with the Nevada Museum of Art. It’s a change of direction for the Swiss artist, who has created a huge piece of abstract land art in an isolated location in the Nevada desert. Ugo Rondidone’s magical mountains stand by the dusty roads leading to Las Vegas Boulevard on the outskirts of Sin City, like brightly colored menhirs in poignant contrast to their surroundings.
