A man from Weare accused of sexually abusing a child is facing more than 85 charges, including multiple counts of manufacturing child sex abuse images.Weare police said the investigation into Jason Lewis, 40, started in June 2021. He was arrested at the time on several charges, including aggravated felonious sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and kidnapping/extortion. Despite objections from the state, Lewis was later released on personal recognizance bail, according to Weare police.Following additional investigation into new leads, Lewis was arrested again last week on dozens of additional charges, including eight counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and 29 counts of manufacturing child sex abuse images.Weare police said the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Goffstown police, the Child Advocacy Center, the Division of Children, Youth and Families, the Hillsborough County attorney’s office and the New England State Police Information Network assisted in the investigation.
